U.S. senators have launched the “Digital Commodities Purchaser Safety Act of 2022” to empower the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) “with distinctive jurisdiction about the digital commodities place sector.”

U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), John Boozman (R-AR), Cory Booker (D-NJ), and John Thune (R-SD) released Wednesday the “Digital Commodities Client Protection Act of 2022.”
The bipartisan bill aims to give the Commodity Futures Investing Fee (CFTC) “new tools and authorities to regulate digital commodities,” in accordance to the announcement of the bill by the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nourishment, and Forestry.
Senator Stabenow commented:
