SEC Asking for Jurisdiction Over All Crypto Exchanges Is ‘a Blatant Power Grab,’ Says Lawmaker

U.S. Congressman Patrick McHenry has slammed the U.S. Securities and Exchange Fee (SEC) for inquiring for jurisdiction more than all crypto exchanges, like non-securities types. “Given the distinctive mother nature of electronic property, policymakers should be thoughtful and deliberative in legislating in this room,” he included.

Rep. McHenry then mentioned a bill he launched, H.R. 1602, the Do away with Obstacles to Innovation Act, which the Home of Representatives passed on April 20 and is now waiting for the Senate to just take up.
